Hi, I'm Katherine Tessera Hardy, better known as Kate or Hardy or Bear depending on who's asking. I'm a Cleveland based designer, illustrator, and founder of Hand Lettered Old Shit, a small business that gives up-cycled objects a new voice through hand painted lettering. 

My multi-disciplinary background and passion for contributing to Cleveland business has led me to work with larger corporations such as Progressive Insurance and the Cleveland Indians, while helping smaller local ventures, such as photographers and West Side Market vendors, develop a cohesive visual identity.

I'm currently working to redesign several American Greetings online experiences as Creative Director of Digital Product Development within AGInteractive.

On weekends you can catch me walking my dog around Duck Island, having a beer at one of Cleveland's many craft breweries, or selling Hand Lettered Old Shit at the Cleveland Flea.
