Next Tuesday is Earth Day, and since I’m a typical Wednesday & Friday poster, I thought today was only appropriate to share those doing their share in the world and a few ways you can get involved deep in the wilds of the web.
Meet Amanda Chantal Bacon. She is the beautiful earthy energy behind Moon Juice, a cold pressed, 100% organic, juice and nut milk shop in Venice and Silver Lake, California. Amanda’s mission? “To celebrate the unadulterated, exquisite flavors and healing force of raw vegetables, fruits, herbs, nuts, and seaweeds.” Read more about their products, the story, and their soon-to-open apothecary shop right here!
Amanda’s Venice juice bar brings us down Rose Avenue to Linus Bike Shop. Linus sees bicycles not only for recreation, but encourages their use for everyday transportation. “We take numerous little journeys, under 5 miles…. to the store, the cafe, to work, etc. Besides the obvious joy of riding a bicycle, these small bicycle trips reduce carbon emissions, congestion, noise pollution, and make for a happier, more connected city experience.” I don’t know about you guys, but their beautiful 1950’s french-inspired bicycles totally inspire me to ride more this summer!
In the name of Easter and Earth Day approaching, how appropriate are these?! Little wheat grass eggs are useful and make a beautiful centerpiece while probably taking you far less time than the classic dip-dye.
My wild card pick of the day is brought to you by the wild flower picks of Moon Canyon studio. Every once in awhile I’ll stumble upon their work in photo shoots, events or workshops and find their arrangement process, color theory, and romantic styling truly inspiring.
Have a beautiful weekend guys! I’d love to hear any environmental tips or small acts of “green” you might make from day to day…
