Mixtape 2

I’m back with a playlist and slowing things down a bit this Monday morning because, well quite frankly that’s how I’m feeling after a jam packed weekend. My entire first year on the job I had nearly an hour drive to and from work, and now that I live a mere 10 minutes away, I realize just how much I miss certain aspects of that commute. It’s the perfect time to collect thoughts and reflect on matters you typically don’t take the time to slow down and concentrate on. Today I’ve put together a mix of tunes that remind me of these tranquil miles covered, whether it may have been from a trip to visit friends in another city, a quick weekend getaway, or the everyday ride home.
1. Open Letter // The Helio Sequence
2. A Death in the Family // Juan Alban
3. If I Had A Gun… // Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
4. Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings // Father John Misty
5. Fifteen Countries // Aunt Martha
6. Hide And Seek // Imogen Heap
7. Wherever You Will Go // Charlene Soraia
8. Blood // The Middle East
9. The A Team // Ed Sheeran
10. Youth // Daughter, Igor Haefeli
11. Bloodbuzz Ohio // The National
12. How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep // Bombay Bicycle Club
13. Flowers in Your Hair // The Lumineers
14. Long Flight // Future Islands
15. Welcome Home, Son // Radical Face
Pardon my inner 16-year-old for channeling One Tree Hill vibes.
